How To Wear Neutrals

I must confess that I'm a neutral kind of gal. Although I do enjoy my fair share of color, my love for the tans, greens, whites, and greys (I like to call them safari colors) are much stronger. Most people see neutrals as boring, but when done the right way the combination of these colors can lead to a chic look! I wore this neutral look to the Style Bloggers of Color conference last week. My main concerns were making sure I was comfortable for the long day ahead yet still stylish. These green silky harem pants sure did bring the comfort and the shiny texture allowed it to be dressed up. One of my go to's is a crisp white button down. The one I wore is cropped so its perfect for the warm south Florida weather. I'm loving chunky necklaces over collard shirts, it transforms a simple neutral top into that of a statement. The mustard crossbody which you've been seeing a lot of lately on the blog was the perfect color to tie in the look.

Here are some tips for putting together your own neutral look:
1. Crisp white pieces are a great starting pallet to mix with other neutral colors.
2. Always make sure your jewelry pop against your neutral color choices.
3. The majority of neutrals compliment each other so don't hesitate to mix things up.
4. Adding a pop of color keeps your neutral look from becoming boring!
