Summer Must Haves | Beach Hats

Floppy Hats: one | two | three
Panama Hats: one | two | three
Baseball Caps: one | two | three

I'm beginning a summer must have series for all things summer that we all can't live without. A must have summer accessory is the fabulous beach hat. Not only do they protect your hair and face from harmful UV rays but summer hats can also be a fashionable statement.

I chose three types of hats that are frequently worn during the summer time:

Floppy Hats

Floppy hats are the perfect statement piece. Its wide brim provides extra protection from the sun. The tan color is great for the summer months. Darker colors can be worn for night summer events as well. Two of the floppy hats above are straw which are better for outdoor beach activities since they don't get damaged when wet. The felt floppy hat is more compatible for a fashionable summer evening by the water. Both should be packed in your suitcase for you summer vacation.

How to Style: sun dresses, boho flouncy tops, maxi dresses, tie scarf around the center of the hat to add some color

Panama Hats

Panama hats are the latest summer accessory. Its brim does not extend as far as the floppy hat, however, its flatter rim adds a bit more edge to your look. White panama hats with black ribbon are the most classic type that are easy to style for both day and night. These summer hats are a must have for tropical vacations. The panama hats above are from Nordstrom and J.Crew Factory and I promise they will not break the bank!

How to Style: wear with anything from crop tops, denim shorts, linen pants, and even sleek classic maxi dresses

Baseball Caps

Whether running errands or jet setting, baseball caps are an essential part of a sporty woman's wardrobe. It covers up bad hair days, protects your face from the sun and instantly gives you a sporty chic look, what more could you ask for! J.Crew is the best place to fine chic baseball caps and these recent chambray and eyelet caps are to die for.

How to Style: plain tee shirts, jogging pants, denim or colored shorts, bf jeans, chambray, button down shirts
