Striping Summer + Link-up

I'm back to blogging again after a week long hiatus and I'm finally sharing some of my swim week outfit posts this week.
If you read Rachelle's blog you may already know that I experienced a family emergency last week and thank you for your kind thoughts. Last weekend, I lost an uncle and I took the time to reflect and spend with my family. It really forces you to put things into perspective. Thankfully my uncle was an inspirational man who did lots for his church and the community so his home going service was joyful because of his inspiring, humble life. It makes me think of the impact and legacy I will leave. I am now making this a priority in my life.

On a lighter note, I wore this drop waist striped dress and of course flat Schutz gladiator sandals, currently on sale, because no sane gal would walk several blocks of South Beach all day long in heels. Although this look is a perfect summer outfit, I still ended up sweating my blogger butt off. This Pim and Larkin striped dress is still available on sale at Piperlime but it is only available in extra small, I'm wearing a small because I wanted it to fit a bit loose. My hair was braided for most of my time at swim week. This braided style was a simple side braid pulled into a low bun. I'll be showing different braided styles in my swim week outfit posts so stay tuned.

Don't forget to link up your summer style post on our #HowISummer link-up! Have a great and purposeful week!
