New Year's Eve Fashion & Beauty Guide

New Year's Eve Outfit, Style, & Beauty Guide

Still haven't found the perfect New Year's Eve look? These tips may help in your last minute search. From all that glitters to bold beauty, here are some helpful tips to keep in mind when putting together your NYE outfit!

5. Bring on the glitter, sequins, & metallics

Let's be honest, when will you have another moment to wear that sequin blazer or metallic dress? New Year's Eve welcomes bright glittery goodness more than any other holiday. So celebrate with your golds, silvers, and bronze because the last day of the year is a glam-a-thon!

But there is such thing as too much glitter. If you're wearing a sequin dress, off set it with simple, non-metallic heels. A sequin top should be paired with a simpler bottom and vice versa.

4. Don't be afraid to mix old with new

I'm a big fan of taking pieces from your already existing wardrobe and remixing them with new items. It save tons of money and time, especially when you've made last minute NYE plans! Take an old, classic piece in your closet like a leather skirt and purchase a statement blazer to pair with it. Slip on your favorite heels and you've got an outfit that you weren't forced to buy out of desperation, but one you actually like!

3. Dress sexy, NOT restricting

We've all been there... strapless dresses that keep falling, tight skirts that seem to ride up every millisecond. The last thing you want on a festive night like New Year's Eve is to be uncomfortable and restricted. If you're like me and like to bust very elaborate dance moves at parties a swing dress might be more your style. Remember no matter how cute it is, if it's not comfortable for you then you should probably pass. Believe people will see it on your face!

2. When in doubt, rent

Instead of splurging on a one night outfit, head to Rent The Runway and order one for the weekend. They usually give you a discount if it's your first time ordering and they even give you two sizes just to make sure the fit is perfect! No idea what accessories to wear? They've got you covered with those as well!

1.  Go BOLD with beauty

New Year's Eve is a great time to experiment with makeup and perfect a fabulous, glam look! Don't be shy with colors and hues, even contouring. A great beauty look will compliment your fun, festive outfit.

Here are some beauty trends to try:

- Bronzer as blush
- Highlighting and contouring
- Deep liner with bold lashes (great for those with light eyes)
- Bold red lips with gold shimmery eyes
- Full bold lashes with wine/purple lip
- Dramatic smokey eye with neutral/peachy lip
